Summary

The agriculture pathway is available to students desiring to learn about the science, business, technology of plant and animal production and/or about the environmental and natural resources systems.

Agricultural Education prepares students for successful careers and a lifetime of informed choices in the global agriculture, food, fiber and natural resources systems. Once a student is enrolled in an AG class they have the opportunity to take advantage of countless possibilities. Through agricultural education, students are provided opportunities for leadership development, personal growth and career success.

Medical: Patient Care

Summary

The CBHS Medical Pathway provides two different options. Both reward students pathway completion and afford students the additional resources for future work and study in the medical field.

The Medical Careers option is for students who intend on pursuing medical careers such as: CNA, pharmacy/vet technician, phlebotomist, dental/medical assistant, transcription, or billing and coding.

The Medical Sciences option has all of the same requirements as the Medical Careers optionswith the additionof the three medical sciences.

Available CTE Program Pathways

The purpose of the CTE program at CORE Butte Charter School is to empower students and promote unique educational opportunities to grow academically and socially through career focused activities. Enhancing a student's experience while engaging that student through the everyday use and application of what they study is a goal at CORE. At CORE Butte Charter School, we value personalizing the learning approach for each of our students. This career technical education page is designed to provide an introduction to a variety of CTE pathways available at CORE.

Summary

Sign language interpreting is a rapidly expanding field. Schools, government agencies, hospitals, court systems, and private businesses employ interpreters. Interpreters work in a variety of settings including medical, legal, religious, mental health, rehabilitation, performing arts and business.

Interpreters typically fall in one of three categories

  • Agency interpreter
  • Free-lance interpreter
  • Contracted interpreter

Information & Communication Technologies

Technology Banner

Summary

Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have expanded the need for employees who can understand, manage, and support all rapidly emerging, evolving, and converging computer, software, networking, telecommunications, Internet, programming, and information systems. Essential skills for careers in the ICT sector include understanding systems that support the management and flow of data, the ability to work well and communicate clearly with people, and the ability to manage projects efficiently. The ICT sector meets national criteria for high demand, high wages, and high skills and provides students with excellent opportunities for interesting work and good pay.
